| Robert Perry was born in a small town outside Omaha, Nebraska. He is a self-taught folk artist currently residing in Hanging Dog, a rural community outside of Murphy, North Carolina in Southern Appalachia. He works in his home studio and uses his surroundings to inspire the visions that create his work. Robert has developed a number of designs in various mixed media. His art uses several techniques that draw from a variety of influences, including Old World, historical references, early Americana, and natural elements. He is not only a painter/carver but musician as well. He plays old blues and folk music. 12 strings is his maximum and 6 strings is his specialty. |
